Edged in Water 2 (video review)

Last night I sat down to watch Edged in Water 2, a water ski film by Todd Ristorcelli from Water Ski magazine.  Water ski videos, or any independent sports videos, usually come in three flavors.  You either get an instructional video, a documentary or a inspirational music video.  Edged in Water 2 mixes the inspirational [...]

Guesses??

At regionals this year skiers were given a little goody bag.  Being my first time at this competition I don’t know if this is a common thing, or the a new idea.  Either way, the bag was filled with …. well… stuff.  Some of it was useful to a degree, I got a nice Kodak [...]

Waterski World Championships Final Results

In the end we, Will Asher (.5 ball at 41 off) and Whitney McClintock (2 at 39 off) take the slalom championship.  Whitney also won the trick portion and cleaned up in the overall.  I think one of the interesting things is the fact that Belarus is a powerhouse in tricks taking the top 3 positions.  [...]

World Championships – Womens prelim results

Of the 50 women from around the world skiing, only the top 12 go to the finals this weekend and the competition was FIERCE!  When the dust had settled, Canada’s own Whitney McClintock had taken the pole position with a score of 2 bouys at 10.75m (39.5off).  That was not the exciting part, after all [...]

Thanks Steve!

Now that the 4+ days of the Eastern Regionals has drawn to a close with some amazing skiing recorded, we need to give a hand and a bow to the mastermind behind it all.  Steve was at the tournament every day, first pull to last in most cases.  He brought us streaming video and multiple [...]

Final Day of Regionals 2009

Sunday marked the final day of the regionals here in Penfield NY. Up until Sunday the weather has been nothing short of perfect. Even the threatening storm on Saturday was nice enough to detour around Penfield. Unfortunately, our luck had run out, and we were delivered some more rain Sunday morning, after starting the Mens [...]

Eastern Regionals Day 4 in Photos

Missing The Entry Gates

With Regionals cranking along this weekend its been easy to witness some fantastic skiing, but something happened that I don’t believe I have ever witnessed at any tournament, novice to record capable.  One of those fantastic skiers is a local woman skier who got a score of “zero” for a pass she has completed probably [...]
